Harvest Festival 2013

Harvest Festival weekend 28th/29th September 2013
As usual it was a busy weekend with the church open from 2-4pm on Saturday 28th to see the scarecrows and decorations. Rosie was in church to receive the Gift Day donations, all of which went towards the £57,000 needed for the replacement of the chancel roof.
There was tea and cake available.
On Sunday 29th September the Family Harvest Festival Service was held at 4pm
followed by a Harvest Supper in the Village Hall.  The produce from the church was auctioned and the proceeds sent to Our Fathers House in Brazil. All the tins and packets were given to Stronger Together in Peterborough who provide a hot meal to homeless people.
It was lovely to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge bring baby George along to see the scarecrows!

One Response to Harvest Festival 2013

  1. Terry, thank you for the beautiful photographs – the Church looks wonderful. A lot of hard work by the contributors.
